The Values of Soccer in the US
Written by pwtalkradio on April 3, 2021
Values are needed for Athletes in Soccer and not shown to US kids; forget the USA ever winning a Gold medal or World Cup
Once again, the US embarrassed itself on the soccer pitch, and the USA needs to throw in the towel on winning a World Cup or gold medal In This Sport.
The culture in the US does not teach athletes (or kids in general) the skills most needed in soccer, nor the values players need to win. Blame that on a culture of impatience and always being on the move in the US. In the US, everyone is expected to accomplish something in 24 hours. Soccer games are slow, and time is kept according to how much time has passed, not how much is left.
In the US we need things done YESTERDAY, and that makes excelling with a game like a soccer impossible!
