Mindfulness Tips That You Can Do Anywhere

Recently you may have been hearing a lot about mindfulness, but what is it? Mindfulness has been defined as “a moment-to-moment awareness of one’s experience without judgment”.  This means having conscious awareness of one’s own thoughts, feelings, sensations, and behaviors, without evaluation, or the formation of an opinion.  Mindfulness has become a popular component of psychotherapy and the benefits from this simple practice are limitless.

Joining me today is Lauren Stallings, a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has spent her career advocating for mental health and suicide prevention. Her counseling experience with children and families spans over 15 years through multiple settings. Lauren has spent a majority of those years in the school setting providing School-Based Mental Health services to students and their families.
